The Micro Matic Keg Coupler A System - # DH1501 is in the A System of couplers, it is also known as a German Slider, because it slides onto the valve face to connect. One special thing about this coupler is the easy handle, you simply push down to tap and pull up to un-tap.

What are the different types of couplers?

"S" System -  Mostly imported beers. Used by breweries such as Heineken, Becks, and Amstel Light. Also known as the European Sankey.

"D" System - Mostly North American beers. Used by breweries such as Budweiser, Coors, Miller, Labatt and Molson. This is most common coupler. It is also known as an American Sankey. 

"A" System -  Mostly German beers. Used by breweries such as Spaten, Warsteiner, and Paulaner. It is also known as a German Slider. 

"M" System - Relatively new to the U.S. market. Body is the same as the German Slider, but the probe configuration is unique. Used by breweries such as: Schneider, Aventinus, and Einbecker.

"G" System - The name is from the English developer, Grundy. This coupler is found in breweries such as Bass, Boddingtion’s, Caffrey’s and Anchor Steam.

"U" System - The name comes from the English manufacturer UEC. Breweries such as Guinness and Harp use this coupler.

Twin Probe - This coupler is used by some craft breweries so therefore is limited.
